Throughout the semester, students in the micro/MACRO Textiles: Artist Research seminar select one or more objects from the Textile Resource Center collection for close study. Each object connects to a topic of personal, professional, or creative interest and becomes the foundation for sustained research and reflection.
Working together and individually with the instructor, students identify relevant areas of the collection, develop focused research questions, and examine their chosen objects through material, visual, historical, and conceptual analysis. The projects unfold in multiple phases and contributes new knowledge to the TRC collection.
